Is the lion really the “King of the Jungle?”

No. A lion may weigh 400 to 500 pounds and grow to eight feet long, but a Siberian tiger can weigh up to 800 pounds and be a foot longer. An elephant or rhinoceros can stomp a lion to death. Contrary to movies, lions do not live in the jungle but are only found in the savanna, areas of grassy plains that cover much of Africa.
